Standard products are great. But that shouldn't stop us from developering new standards together. We have many years of experience in developing customer-specific projects for the transportation of medicines, blood samples, vaccines, clinical trials, laboratory samples, food and other temperature-sensitive products.
We work with you to test and develop new solutions that match your specific needs. We begin with a thorough assessment of the need for the given packaging solution and define success criteria such as protection, temperature requirements, timeframe and transportation.
To handle the special requirements for interior design, cooling and recyclability, we work with cooling elements / PCM elements (Phase Change Material), dry ice, cooling and heating elements and insulating materials such as EPS, EPP, Neopor, Piocelan, VIP panels and biomaterials. In addition, we develop our own freezing/cooling fluids (PCM liquids) and Gelpacks also known as gel ice, as far as possible Bio-based. This means that we can accurately customize solutions for several different temperature ranges such as
Deep frozen -78°C to -30°C
frozen -25°C to -15°C
Cold +2/+8°C
Ambient +15/+25°C
And many other temperatures
We are competitive within, among other things, special solutions for online supermarkets and have extensive experience in developing special boxes with an emphasis on the cold chain, transport, process optimization, logistics, washing/cleaning and handling, from warehouse to end customer.
Our CFD simulation software is capable of performing approximately 90-95% accurate simulations. In our software, we can simulate over 10 scenarios simultaneously, giving us a quick picture of the most optimal solution. You may want to run several different CFD simulations, testing a range of different insulation materials, coolants, shipping methods/temperature profiles, 3D designs, etc.
Our climate chamber test is similar to running live tests. Here we place one or more temperature loggers inside our solution, where we can measure how it performs when we affect the solution with your temperature profile. Both the simulation software and the climate chamber can quickly perform scenarios that would otherwise take up to a year or more to perform in practice.
We can make prototypes in several different insulation materials, such as EPS, EPP, NEOPOR, PE and VIP. Among other things, the prototype can be used to perform temperature tests in our climate chamber, to confirm that our designs are working as intended. Moulding tools are very expensive and you want to avoid making changes to them. Once we have the mold, we can make the first test castings, and as soon as you have approved, production can begin.
Several of our custom-designed solutions are either design protected or have been patented. In consultation with our patent agent, we are happy to provide advice and guidance on patents and design protection.
Then we calculate the average temperature and subtract the desired average temperature inside the box/by the product. We multiply that number by the number of hours the solution needs to hold +2 to +8°C. For example: (22.3°C - 4.8°C) x 48 hours = 840 Kelvin Hour.
The above methods are a great tool for tracking which packaging solution is best suited to transport your product safely with your shipping method.
Call us to arrange a meeting about your upcoming solutions.
