EPS - expanded polystyrene. EPS has been rebranded and is now known as AIRPOP.
EPS is a food-grade material made from 98% air and 2% plastic. Due to its high air content, the material insulates quite well and is very suitable for cool boxes for transporting temperature-sensitive products such as food, e.g. meal boxes, fish, fruit/vegetables, etc. Together with our gel packs and cooling elements, you can ensure your products stay at the right temperature throughout transportation.
Choosing the right packaging for your goods can be difficult. As a rule of thumb, you can follow the guide here:
Food transportation:
- Transport time up to 15 hours: Go for 20-23 mm wall thickness
- Transport time up to 24 hours: Go for 25-30 mm wall thickness
- Transport time from 24 hours: Go for 40-50 mm wall thickness
Transport of pharmaceutical/high value products:
